I am very saddened to learn that Boyne Boats Ltd. has ceased trading. I would like to wish Ross and the team all the best in the future. They will be sadly missed on the waterways. Hopefully in the near future, another operator may establish boat trips on the river Boyne. Below is a statement from Ross which was displayed on his website. ” Hi, It is with a heavy heart that I have made the decision to wind down Boyne Boats. Unfortunately, due to many variables the profitability of the business is not there to sustain a regular income over 12 months of the year. I will continue bookings up to and including Sunday July 14th and then that will be it as I will be pursuing other opportunities. I would like to thank all the thousands of customers I have had over the last 8 years and the love and support from family, friends and colleagues in the tourism industry. I ask any voucher holders to please try and book in before July 14th as there will be no availability beyond that date.”
