List of bridges on the river Barrow

How many bridges are on the river Barrow?

It is difficult to say how many bridges are on the river Barrow. For example in the list below, we count 47 bridges. However, this does not include the lifting bridges at Ardreigh and Levitstown in Kildare which give access to islands on the Barrow and do not fully cross the river. Also excluded is the footbridge in Carlow/Graiguecullen called the Millennium Bridge and known locally as the Jimmy Terrazzo Bridge. Also not included are the small access bridge such as those on the Rathellin Canal Cut of the navigation. Neither are the bridges over the tributaries such as the Greese or Moneen etc. So what we have included in the list below are only the road, rail and horse bridges that cross completely over the Barrow river. Hope you enjoy scanning down the list to see what ones you recognised or have driven over or seen.
