Tourist attractions in Goresbridge

Goresbridge is one of my favourite towns on the river Barrow. In the east of county Kilkenny, Goresbridge is a beautiful small town for a break and in particular, it is a lovely spot to take a ramble along the Barrow Way. Whether you head upstream to Ballyellen Upper Lock or down stream, to Lower Ballyellen, you’ll not be disappointed with the beauty of the river Barrow. And if you like fishing, you’re in the perfect spot. This stretch of the river Barrow has always been great for Coarse fishing and not a bad spot for Pike either. Down below the weir, has often proven good for trout also and you never know when you might hit a Salmon either. Anyway, if you are dipping a line, best of luck. Well that’s it for Goresbridge. Hope you enjoy visiting the town. As you’ll see for the list above, I’ve included one or two places to visit or things to do, just outside Goresbridge. If there is anything on the list that I’m miss or if you find any other “things to do in Goresbridge”, please let me know and I’ll get it included. If you plan on visiting other parts of Kilkenny, check out the links below for the various tourist attractions about the place. Cheers and enjoy!
