Draft River Basin Management Plan – Public Consultation
The upcoming online meetings are part of the Public Consultation process for the Draft River Basin Management Plan. If you want to have your say on the future protection and development of the river basins in your region, you can register to attend the meetings by logging onto Local Authority Waters Programme (LAWPRO)
Each region and river basin is broken down by county and you can register to attend those of interest to you, be that Carlow, Kilkenny, Kildare, Laois or any of the other counties in Ireland. This section is very useful https://lawaters.ie/rbmp-public-meetings-2022/

Carlow rivers is a big issue to take on with so many stakeholders involved. For years I have brought Some serious issues to their table, but nothing was done, the issues are still there and ignored by the stakeholders with good jobs. Our rivers are in decline for a long time now, and sadly I see no improvement for the future. Has anyone ever wondered who the EPA is and who they are the local retentives???.
